My research involves exploring various linear regression methods in the context of invalid assumptions for the classical linear regression model. To date, I have finished a paper reviewing many regression methods and focusing on five specifically for a simulation study based on data departing from the classical linear regression model. This paper compares the performance of Least Squares to the performance of other regression methods that are designed to perform well outside of the classical linear regression assumptions. I am using R programming skills as well as the knowledge I have gained from Biostatistics and Statistics courses I have taken. This research is being conducted with my dissertation advisor, Brian Leroux.
