I work with Dr. Andrew Zhou at the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) studying, among other things, risk factors for dementia and optimal weighting of composite outcomes for Alzheimer’s disease clinical trials. This work aims to eventually identify the causes of Alzheimer’s disease. In the short term, we hope to identify outcome measures for Alzheimer’s clinical trials which are minimally variable from person to person and are sensitive to the subtle changes in cognition which occur during the relatively short course of most clinical trials.
