I grew up in Nashville, TN before moving to Bloomington, IN where I received my B.S. in Mathematics from Indiana University. After graduating from IU, I moved back to Nashville for a few years where I worked as a research assistant in a pediatric gastroenterology lab at Vanderbilt University. My research focused on investigating potential therapies for ulcerative colitis, as well as investigating basic questions about the disease itself. I am currently making progress towards my PhD in Biostatistics and working as a research assistant under Prof. Andrew Zhou. Our work is currently focused on methodological issues in causal inference as applied to studies related to autism. In my free time I like to play soccer and tennis, enjoy the outdoors, and try to get my dog Sheldon to listen to me.
