I grew up in Vietnam, spent my last two years of high school in Italy before heading to the United States for college education. I graduated from Macalester College (St. Paul, Minnesota)  with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Economics.

Currently, I am a Ph.D. student of the Department of Biostatistics. I am broadly interested in statistical modeling, visualization, and analysis of dependent data. I particularly enjoy developing statistical methods and machine learning techniques for spatially correlated and high-dimensional data through my dissertation work with Adam Szpiro, Ph.D. I am also working as a research assistant, under the supervision of Patrick Heagerty, Ph.D., and Bryan Comstock, M.S., at the Seattle Center for Biomedical Statistics. My research is often motivated by applications in environmental epidemiology, public health, and medical research.

In my free time, I enjoy dancing, gaming, cooking, and trying out good food in Seattle.
