I am a PhD student in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington. My research interests are in spatio-temporal modeling of infectious disease data.

I am a 3rd generation Arizonan, born in Phoenix where my family still lives. I attended high school in Connecticut, college in California, and now graduate school in Seattle. I graduated from Pomona College with a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy. I have always loved math and had a strong interest in public health, spending time as a health worker in the Dominican Republic and Oaxaca, Mexico.

After college, I returned to Phoenix. I spent five years as a financial advisor, which helped fund my other career as an assistant coach of a competitive junior rowing program. In my free time, I like to read, keep up on all things rowing, hike, travel, try new things, make and enjoy good beer, and be outside as much as possible (weather permitting).
