I am a PhD student in the Department of Biostatistics. I grew up in Minnesota and received my BA from St. Olaf College, where I studied math, chemistry, and statistics. I am open to many research areas, but am currently interested in methodologies with applications in disease prevention and treatment.
I am working as a research assistant under Dr. Robyn McClelland and Dr. Lyndia Brumback at the Collaborative Health Studies Coordinating Center. We are applying survival methods to data from the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis to determine how arterial stiffness relates to hypertension and can inform risk assessment for cardiovascular disease.
In my free time, I enjoy playing viola in small chamber groups and playing soccer.
